The Old Vic Inn offers bed and breakfast accommodation with a wide range of accommodation types.

Choose from 15 spacious heritage rooms most with ensuites, 7 king-size beds. There is also a selection of family rooms to suit all needs.

Some bed rooms open onto the large veranda which overlooks the main street and the Canowindra township.

The Old Vic Inn is centrally heated and air-conditioned for your comfort all year round. We also use high quality natural linens in every guest room.

Dining

The fine food and country atmosphere makes the historic Old Vic restaurant and cafe a favourite haunt for locals.

The licensed restaurant is open to both house guests and the public.

Lunch Open 7 days - 12 until 2pm
Dinner Thursday - Saturday 6.30pm onwards



Menu

The Old Vic Inn is located in the heart of the Cabonne region - the food basket of Australia, producing everything from asparagus, apples, stone fruits, figs, berries, chestnuts, trout, venison, beef and lamb.

The a la carte menu changes with the seasons and highlights local and regional produce.

For in-house guests picnic hampers are available on request.

The Old Vic Inn is licensed and our wine list features award winning local wines from Canowindra and regional wines from the Cowra and Orange district.

Canowindra (pronounced Ca-noun-dra) is a historic township surrounded by rolling foothills, vineyards, olive groves, orchards and farms. Canowindra is a classic country town to visit.

For those with an interest in history, Gaskill Street is a heritage listed main street, with many fine examples of Victorian architecture.

Age of Fishes

One of the greatest discoveries in Australia was made near Canowindra in 1956. Approximately 3500 fossils, dating back 360 million years, have been recovered, many of them complete. The collection is displayed at the Age of Fishes Museum, in Gaskill Street, and is open daily.
